Is this conception of God realistic?

Realism is to be taken to perspective. Whether or not you call humans animals, we are rather unique creatures. A few DNA strands (I know it's more than a few for those genetic experts, it's an exaggeration) and you have the difference between a chimp that explores jungles, and me, typing on this laptop that a chimp wouldn't know what to think if it saw one. The physical world isn't exactly as clear - cut as we might think. Meaning and worth are things found in ourselves. I believe there is a God, and if so, I believe that His job is to remain passive; allow good and evil to be balanced, but allow us to find what good and evil are in ourselves. And that is the reason we ought to follow God.
