How can I apologize to someone on Y!A? Is that against the rules?

A few days ago in SC I corrected someone's grammar. It was a single noticeable word that he/she misused repeatedly. Granted I shouldn't have done that, even gently, unless asked. If I had kept making the same mistake, I would have wanted to know about it so I could change it. It was foolish of me to project my feelings onto someone else. Obviously the person was greatly offended because he/she has blocked me from answering his/her questions. Should I learn from the situation and let it go? Or is there something I can do to "make it right?"
